After a semester long internship in the Fall of 2024, I was offered a freelance position with American Surf Magazine, where I have been writing environmental stories, surf and travel guides, surf-product reviews, and more ever since.
After serving as a staff writer for my spring 2024 semester, I was selected as the feature section editor for the Minaret, the University of Tampa's student newspaper, for the 2025-2026 school year. Each week, I pitch localized story ideas, work with writers to craft and polish their stories, and edit them for publication. In addition to being a section editor, I also write for the paper.
For the past three summers, I have written a weekly column for my hometown paper about my experiences on our town's beaches as a lifeguard. I cover everything from ocean safety to funny anecdotes, to intense rescue stories. The beach and lifeguard culture is vital to our town, so the column resonates with much of the community.
Screenwriter/ Story Editor /Writer's Room Assistant — Breslin Media Inc.
At Breslin Media, I have contributed to the development and writing of original television pilots and storyboards submitted to major entertainment agencies.
Over the past two years, I have served as writer and story editor on two original scripted projects:
• “Fix It," a half-hour television comedy pilot, in which I contributed to developing a full screenplay and series bible.
• “Rockaway Summer," a one-hour television drama pilot; in which I co-created the story, bible, and more than eight screenplay drafts.
Through these projects, I have collaborated with senior writers and producers through the full creative development and submission process. ​​
Editor — Q:Journal of Undergraduate Research and Inquiry
During the Spring semester of 2024, I served as an editor for the University of Tampa's research journal. I worked closely with authors, honed in on my skills for editing to AP style and publication style guides, utilized Adobe InDesign to layout the articles for print, and learned the ins and outs of the editing process.
