Is there a beach girl in your life that you just cannot seem to shop for? You’re not alone! Surfer girls are picky in the best way. We love things that are cute and functional… and preferably salt-water friendly.

Whether you’re shopping for your tanning-obsessed best friend, your surf buddy, or a girl who’s basically a mermaid, this gift guide has a little bit of everything: jewelry, bikinis, accessories, beach-day essentials, and even some coastal decor.

On this list, you’ll find some of my tried-and-true favorites: the things I actually use, love, and pack for every beach day (plus a few things I’m secretly hoping someone gifts me this year).

Let’s dive in!

1. Necklaces from Get Back Necklaces

Get Back Necklaces has some of the best salt-water friendly jewelry in the game. If you’ve seen me at the beach, on my Instagram stories, or honestly anywhere, you’ve probably seen me wearing a Get Back Necklace. Their Saint Christopher pendants are a pillar in surf culture. They’re cute, meaningful, water-safe, and go with everything.

I love them because they’re durable enough to wear in the ocean every day, and they make the perfect gift for any coastal girl. Plus, they come in an endless range of colors and styles, so it’s easy to pick one that matches her vibe.

Ring from Salty Gem on hand on beach

The Salty Gem has the most beautiful hand-crafted sea glass jewelry pieces (a beach girl favorite)  for an affordable price! Lightweight and beach-proof, Salty Gem’s jewelry is made for girls who hop between surf sessions, smoothie bowls, and sunset plans withot wanting to change their jewelry every five minutes.

Some of my favorites are the Green Sea Glass Ring in gold and the Wind and Sea Earrings in matcha green and gold. I haven’t found jewelry like this anywhere else.

Their coastal designs instantly elevate a simple bikini or cover up.

Atolea jewelry is made specifically for ocean wear-and-tear, which is why I love wearing it. They have a really wide selection of necklaces, bracelets, rings, and earrings. The mini pearls ring is timeless, pretty, and actually holds up in salt water (a must if you’re shopping for a surfer girl). The Baroque Pearl Necklace is another one of my favorites.

Their pieces are 100% waterproof and pair well with any jewelry, swimsuit or outfit — it’s one of those pieces you never want to, or have to, take off.

Bikini top, sunglasses, and tote bag on girl

You don’t realize how important it is to have a good beach towel until you spend a day on the beach with a crappy one. Heavy towels can be uncomfortable, can take too long to dry, and can collect sand. Sand Cloud towels on the other hand, are lightweight, quick-drying, super soft, and don’t hang onto sand. A towel bag is a nice add on too.

They also roll up tiny, which makes them great for travel, beach days, or stuffing into a surf backpack. Also, Sand Cloud donates a portion of profits to marine conservation, so your gift does some good for the environment.

A good tote bag is a beach-girl essential — it has to fit sunscreen, a towel, a cover up, snacks, a book, and the ten other things we swear we “won’t bring this time” but always do.

You can’t be the OG beach tote: L.L. Bean’s Boat and Tote. It's tried and true, offered in a ton of different accent colors, and can be monogrammed. Who doesn’t love a monogrammed bag?

6. Sunglasses

Sunglasses are a beach day essential. Every beach girl needs a solid, stylish pair of sunglasses that actually protects your eyes. Go for UV-protected, polarized options -- her eyes will thank you!

Raybans sunglasses are great quality, but some of the frames are a bit fragile. I also really like Sunski for affordable, durable sunglasses that don’t scream “these are sport goggles.” Dipsea and Baia are both good options from them!

This is a simple, affordable gift that always hits.

7. Surf-Inspired Keychain

A small, sweet gift that adds a little surf vibe to her everyday life. Whether it’s a mini surfboard from Ripcurl , a beach charm keychain, or an embroidered wristlet, keychains make perfect stocking stuffers or add-on gifts.

You can never have too much sunscreen! This little travel bag is filled with Sun Bum’s travel-sized original SPF 30 Lotion, full sized face stick SPF 30, and full sized original lip balm SPF 30 in Coconut. Sun Bum makes clean, reef-friendly products that smell like a tropical vacation, and since everything in this bag is travel size, it's perfect to take on a beach vacation!

Throw in a few extra lip balms and maybe some of their haircare to compliment the Roadtripper.  t’s cute, practical, and beach-girl approved.

Beach days are instantly better with music, and this tiny-but-mighty speaker clips onto any beach bag. It’s waterproof, durable, and surprisingly loud for its size.

Perfect for surfers, swimmers, or anyone who wants a soundtrack to their sunset.

A poncho is one of those gifts she won’t realize she needs until she has it. And then she’ll wonder how she lived without it.

It’s perfect for changing out of a wetsuit, drying off after a swim, or just staying warm during breezy post-surf mornings. Nomadix offers a bunch of different patterns, so you’re sure to find the one that matches any style.

Final Thoughts

Shopping for a beach-loving girl doesn’t have to be complicated. Think: functional, coastal, cute, and something she can use all the time. These gifts all bring a little sunshine into everyday life, even when she’s not on the sand.
